A 20-year-old man has been apprehended by the police for allegedly attacking a law student in the Sultanpuri area of northwest Delhi. This information was confirmed by an official on Thursday.
Details of the Arrest
According to the officer, the suspect, identified as Saksham, was captured based on a tip-off near a post office in Bhiwani, Haryana. The police noted that Saksham had been on the run since a First Information Report (FIR) was filed.
The Assault Incident
On October 26, around 12:30 AM, the victim, 22-year-old Khushwinder Solanki, noticed two young men urinating on the wall of his home in Puth Kalana, which prompted him to object. This angered the two men, Saksham and another individual named Happy, who, along with a group of others, allegedly verbally abused and physically assaulted Solanki and his friends.
Victim's Condition
A senior police official stated that the complainant sustained injuries to his head and various parts of his body, necessitating hospitalization. After being declared fit, his statement was recorded.
